No-Knead Buns

The least intimidating type of bread, so easy to make and hard to mess up!

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour (either all-purpose or bread flour if you’re feeling fancy)
  • 400 g warm water
  • 2 tsp yeast
  • 10 g salt

Directions:

  1. Mix yeast and water and let sit 5 minutes.
  2. Add salt and add in flour, combining until there is no dry flour remaining. Cover with a towel and let sit 15 minutes.
  3. Perform the following 3 times:
    • Go around bowl, grabbing edge of dough, pull to stretch and fold it over, doing about 4-6 folds. Wet your hands before starting to help prevent the dough sticking to your hands. Each time you do this you should notice the dough get smoother and stretch nicer.
    • Let rest, covered, for 15 minutes.
  4. Let dough rest covered for 1 hour.
  5. Cover your hands in flour to prevent sticking. Portion dough into 6 balls, dipping each one in flour also to avoid sticking and place them spread out on baking sheet, and pat down so they are a bit flatter. Let rest 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 375.
  7. Put tray in oven and bake 20 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  8. Enjoy 😊
