Shakshuka

The perfect brunch dish!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 eggs

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in pan over medium heat, once warm, add garlic, onion, cumin, paprika. Let cook until fragrant.
  2. Add tomatoes, peppers, salt and sugar and let cook until saucy (5-10 minutes)
  3. Create 4 wells in pan, cracking one egg into each.
  4. Cover pan and let cook over medium-low heat until whites have set (5-10 minutes), letting it cook longer for more set egg yolks.
  5. Serve alongside some pita bread and enjoy 😊
