Cream Puffs

The perfect vessel for any filling or toppings of your choice!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 c water
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 3 eggs
  • Toppings/fillings of choice: whipped cream, ice cream, chocolate, nutella, pastry cream … the options are endless!

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Add water, milk, butter, sugar, salt to saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Once sugar has all dissolved and butter is all melted, remove from heat.
  3. Add flour, add back to medium heat until film forms on bottom of pan.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition
  6. Add batter to piping bag (or Ziploc and then cut a corner cut off) and pipe 12 swirly blobs onto tray. If you want them to look smooth and nice, wet your finger and smooth out any edges.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool then fill with your fillings of choice, whipped cream, pastry cream or ice cream are some of my favourites! Dip/drizzle chocolate on them if you want, go crazy!
