Oven Baked Potato Chips

The effort makes them taste even better than chips from the bag!

If you for some reason have a mandolin, that would come in very handy for this! If not, this is good practice for your knife skills haha. Try to cut to as even of a thickness as possible to ensure even cooking, otherwise some chips will burn while others are still floppy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 potato
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Seasonings of choice

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 (convection if possible)
  2. Thinly slice potato, then soak in ice cold water
  3. Pat potatoes dry
  4. Toss in oil to lightly coat potatoes
  5. Lay potato slices in single layer on baking sheet
  6. Bake for 20-30 minutes, flipping halfway (removing any slices that are getting overly crispy as needed)
  7. Once removed from oven, toss in salt/seasoning blend of choice.
  8. Enjoy 😊
